Rehearsal Dinner Arrangments

This dinner had an oceanside or natural beach theme.

This arrangement was in the grand foyer.

Another view from the Grand Foyer.

A fun low centerpiece with shells in the base of the vase.

Another low centerpiece. I loved the way the bluish hosta leaves blended with the tablecovers.

This arrangement for the head table was so much fun to do! There was a lure floating in the vase with the ferns and greenery.

Another view.

Fresh Flower Designs

I will start posting pictures of some of my fresh flower designs over the next few months. Weddings are starting to crank up so I will be having some new things to post along with some of my favorites from past years.

But first up today is something that was very special to me. My good friend Deb, who I often refer to as my "evil twin" (she is not really evil, but don't get our minds going at the same time...it is dangerous!) asked me to help her create a casket spray for her mother's casket. So on Friday night we got to work! It was a very special time listening to stories about Deb's mother and creating something we knew she would love.

For Valentine's Day someone asked me about doing an arrangement for her husband that looked manly! I always like a challenge. She brought me the ceramic container so I found some orchids in burgundy that I thought fit the bill. My husband basically wears only 4 colors, burgundy being one of his mainstays. These orchids would be gorgeous in a bridal bouquet with the Star Gazer lilies!

For a park wedding I did this fence arrangement.

This is a church arrangement for a May wedding.

These Bridesmaids' bouquets were for an October wedding where the bridesmaids were wearing different shades of purples and plums.

This church arrangement was for the same wedding as the previous bouquets.

The next arrangement was done with dendrobian orchids for a country club reception.

This bride wanted only red flowers for her wedding. I think they were NCSU fans!

All white wedding flowers.

I added flowers to this cake. This was a fall wedding so we were taking advantage of the fall color palette.

Winter Wreaths

Now that the holidays are over and most have taken down their decorations is there a spot that looks so bare you can hardly stand it? How about a winter wreath? Here are some pictures of some custom wreaths I have done recently. Let me know if you would like something similar. Prices for these wreaths run from $42.00 - $55.00 depending on the size and fullness.

This has a mix of greenery, thistle, berries, antique hydrangea and small orange birds.

This is similar to the previous wreath with a different selection of greenery and birds. A detail of the birds and hydrangea follows:

This wreath is a mix of red, green and white berries with varigated pittesporum and other greenery. There are no birds on this version but would it not look lovely with chickadees or cardinals?

This red & antique green hydrangea wreath is on my front door. It gives a bright cheeriness to the gray winter days.

And if you just can't wait for spring here is a mix of different green hydrangeas with a touch of white. You know winter can't last forever! I actually do hydrangea wreaths in colors for all seasons. The price on them runs from $48.00 - $60.00.

Watch for spring & summer wreaths to come! Drop me an email if you would like me to design something for you.

Christmas Wreaths & Arrangements

So today I have been really busy downloading pictures and adding them to this blog. Each will have a brief description and the price. If local to Raleigh, NC I have to add sales tax. If you are out of town contact me and we will talk about shipping or delivery. Please note, I am not a photographer so some pieces really look better in person. I will let you know in my description if the photo (and flash) has changed any feature of the product.

This is a bronze and brown centerpiece (one of a kind) with a brown jeweled bird that shows up well in the following closeup shots. The poinsettias are bronze and the ribbon is brown crinkled taffeta with gold wired edging. This piece could actually be used as early as Thanksgiving on through the holidays and would look great on green, blue, or ivory tablecloths or light wood tables. It is approximately 31 inches long. The price of this piece is $48.00. Stock #BZC1.

In the last picture the bird is seen at about 11:00 from the poinsettia.

***

Next I have a piece from my Woodland Collection. It is a evergreen, pine cone centerpiece in silver and frosty white. In the center is an "ornament cage" containing a small bird. This is "one of a kind".

This piece with the silver wired ribbon would look great on a light or dark wood table or any color tablecloth. It is approximately 36 inches long. The price is $56.00. Stock #SBC1.

***

This centerpiece is another of my combination creations. It can be used for Christmas or Thanksgiving. The poinsettia is attached to the bow which sets in the center. The gold bird clips on to the evergreens. As you can see in the following picture the bird and poinsettia can be removed and a pumpkin set in the center for Thanksgiving. This creation is for those that don't have much storage space for decor or are too busy to do much decorating. Within 30 seconds you can change this from one holiday season to the other!

This combo centerpiece is $50.00. Stock #TCCC1

***
Next up is an evergreen-magnolia centerpiece with a gold, red flocked bow, red berries and a red bird. There are two pictures, the first a close up of the bird and the second a longer view. It is approximately 32 inches long.

This magnolia centerpiece is priced at $49.00. Stock #MBBC1.

***

This is a hearth basket with red hydrangea, red magnolias, holly and berries in a gold basket with gold bows. Price: 90.00. Stock# HB1.

This next centerpiece is in a red ceramic bowl. It is designed with berries and amaryllis. The bow accents are a stained glass look red-green-gold wired ribbon. This piece would look lovely on any holiday tablecloth.

The price for the amaryllis centerpiece is $55.00. Stock #BAC1

This centerpiece is designed with evergreen, pinecones and berries. There is a gold, red flocked wire edge ribbon nest for the red feathered bird. The preceding photo is a closeup of the piece. The second picture shows nearly the 33 inch length.

This centerpiece sells for $34.00. Stock #ECBC1

This next centerpiece is composed of evergreens with gold poinsettias and accents. A red beaded bird finishes off this design. Can you tell I am into birds this season?

This is a closeup of the center section with the bird.

The next two photos are of a one-of-a-kind Metallic Reindeer Container adorned with reddish bronze poinsettias, red ornaments, gold and red berries. There is also a dark green-gold embossed bow. The reindeer antlers gracefully weave their way back into the arrangement.

This piece was $60.00, but has been marked down to $55.00. Stock #MBR1.

This next centerpiece was designed with gold acorn sprays (the flash overexposed the sparkly acorns). It also contained green/gold magnolias, evergreens, green apples, dark green gold-embossed bow with a green feathered bird.

This is a closeup of the bird detail.

This piece has SOLD. I still have some of the birds and can possible get some more of the acorn sprays. If you like this style let me know and I will custom design something for you.

Here I have a Lime Green Poinsettia, peony centerpiece with red berries, gold & cream satin woven ribbon, and a coordinating ornament in a ceramic container.

This second picture is a closeup of the center ornament area of the arrangement.

This piece sells for $45.00. Stock #LGPC1

This next design was done for a side table, buffet or corner table. It is of irridescent terra cotta color poinsettias with cedar and gold accents. It is in a brass bowl.

This piece is on sale for $54.00 (originally $59.00). Stock #TCPB1.

This next centerpiece was another of my dual duty pieces. The peachy pink poinsettia set in the fruit/evergreen sprays could be used from Thanksgiving through Christmas.

This centerpiece (above) has SOLD. Let me know if you are interested in a combination piece!

Here are a few of my Christmas Orchid Arrangments. I do a lot of custom orchids so watch for those on my blog in the days and weeks to come. It takes a while to upload and describe all of these pictures! I think I am faster at creating than writing!

This bronze orchid with evergreen and bronze tone ornaments is designed in a wooden tray and is suitable Thanksgiving through January! The price is $55.00. Stock #BOT1.

This is another whimsical style container with red orchids, cream pine cones, berries and an ornament in a gold ceramic container. Price: $39.00, Stock #ROG1.

I included this picture because it is a red orchid, but it is not necessarily for Christmas. It is backed with Ginko leaves in a gold burnished ceramic container. A Christmas bow can be added for a holiday touch that can be removed and used all season!

Now for some Wreaths and Wall or Door Pieces!

Many of the door pieces you will see on this blog are either interior pieces, or ones that can be used on protected exterior doors. If you need something that will withstand the elements let me know and I can design something suitable. My own door is in the blazing sun with no covering so my personal wreaths are designed with that in mind. And I do have to replace them every two or three years. But with porch covers over your doors these wreaths should last several years and indefinitely in the house!

All wreath descriptions are below the pictures. These are what I have left after my two open houses. I can custom design any color pallette you have in mind!
